Regulation Made Simple

New benchmark on accessibility in audiovisual media services (in the Americas)

In the Americas, all researched countries have signed the United Nations Convention on the Right of Persons with Disabilities. Several countries have adopted general initiatives to protect people with disabilities, this includes specific rules for audiovisual service providers.

This benchmark covers the requirements imposed on broadcasters and pay TV operators per type of service and technology, including sign languages, audio description, subtitling/close caption where applicable.

This benchmark has been published in the scope of our Americas Media service.
