INTRODUCTION

E-commerce and parcel delivery: a chain reaction?

On April 24, 2012 Cullen International will bring together EU policy making bodies, national postal regulators, postal operators, online retailers and consumer associations to debate these challenges and the opportunities offered to the postal industry.

The conference will provide attendees with:

  • a comprehensive overview of the current regulatory issues and developments on cross-border delivery, in particular from the postal, e-commerce and consumer protection EU instruments;
  • a follow-up by the Internal Market and Services Directorate General of the European Commission on the FTI Consulting study on “intra-community cross-border parcel delivery”;

  • an insight into innovative postal practices a driver of growth for e-commerce;
  • an interactive session to discuss possible solutions to the identified challenges.
