Policy and regulatory challenges of connected TV - Brussels | May 3, 2012
This workshop co-organised by EPRA and Cullen International will bring together EU decision makers, national media regulators, the audiovisual industry, online content providers, telecoms operators and TV sets manufacturers to discuss the development of connected TV. Participants will share views on the policy and regulatory challenges raised by connected TV and will try to assess whether the existing regulatory environment is adequate to face these challenges and if not, how it should be adapted.

INTRODUCTION
E-commerce and parcel delivery: a chain reaction?
On April 24, 2012 Cullen International will bring together EU policy making bodies, national postal regulators, postal operators, online retailers and consumer associations to debate these challenges and the opportunities offered to the postal industry.
The conference will provide attendees with:
- a comprehensive overview of the current regulatory issues and developments on cross-border delivery, in particular from the postal, e-commerce and consumer protection EU instruments;
- a follow-up by the Internal Market and Services Directorate General of the European Commission on the FTI Consulting study on “intra-community cross-border parcel delivery”;
- an insight into online shopping as a driver of growth for the postal industry;
- an insight into innovative postal practices a driver of growth for e-commerce;
- an interactive session to discuss possible solutions to the identified challenges.

The objective of this high level conference is to bring together representatives of the EU policy making bodies, national regulatory authorities, industry stakeholders and major investors in the region to discuss two main aspects of the Digital Agenda:
- How to create a policy environment which encourages high-risk investments in fast and ultra-fast networks in the four member states and the eight enlargement countries of the region?
- What are the main challenges of integrating the enlargement countries into a single European digital market?
