Changes to national and regional fibre networks were announced or are being proposed in Argentina, Chile and Peru.
Radio spectrum awards took place in Brazil and Mexico, while spectrum rules were adapted in those two countries, and Colombia. Chile authorised the deployment of 5G networks using the 700 MHz, AWS and 3.5 GHz spectrum awarded earlier this year.
Other news in Mexico include the updated financial position of the wholesale only network operator Altan Redes and the forthcoming sale of America Movil’s tower division.
